Tykes and Teens is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO), responsible for strategic leadership, oversight, and continuous improvement of all clinical, quality, safety, and compliance functions across Tykes & Teens. The CCO ensures excellence in clinical care, strengthens a culture of quality and accountability, and advances evidence‑based, trauma‑informed, and outcomes‑driven practices across all programs serving infants, children, adolescents, young adults and families.

This highly visible executive role works collaboratively across departments and alongside the Chief Executive Officer to ensure regulatory compliance, support program innovation, maintain exceptional clinical standards, and position Tykes & Teens as a trusted leader in children’s mental health within the community, schools, and statewide systems of care.


 
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
  • Advanced knowledge of clinical best practices, trauma‑informed care, and evidence‑based treatment models for children and adolescents.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, clinical operations management, and organizational leadership.
  • Expertise in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and outcome-based program evaluation.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective supervision structures that support clinical skill development and high performance.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid, managed care, and regulatory frameworks governing behavioral health.
  • Skilled in data-informed decision-making, problem-solving, and system-level thinking.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor diverse clinical teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice, cultural responsiveness, and trauma-informed leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
Education and Experience Required
  • Master’s degree required in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Active Florida licensure under FS 490 or 491.
  • Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical management or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading clinical quality initiatives, supervising clinicians, and implementing evidence‑based practices.
